Ami Foundation’s new brand and web service

Ami Foundation

The purpose of the Ami Foundation is to enhance the competitiveness of the Helsinki region, improve the conditions for success in working life and its changes for organisations and individuals in the region, and boost the functionality of the regional labour market. The foundation aims to make the labour market in the capital region the best in the Nordic countries and to elevate the skills of individuals and businesses in the area. Ami supports research and the development of labour markets through research grants and project funding.

Starting point

The foundation’s strategy was created from scratch, giving Ami a fresh start for its operations. The service needed a new, striking brand. Our task was to help Ami translate its new strategy into a communicative form—both in written and visual formats. Ami required a new brand identity and a website. We also created illustrations for Ami’s use.

Design

The work began with a brand workshop, which helped us define Ami’s position within the foundation sector. After the definition phase, we designed a striking identity for Ami that stands out and communicates visually the essence of the brand. For the icon concept, we decided to create abstract images that aim to evoke thoughts and emotions in viewers, rather than depicting specific situations or objects.

We compiled the brand identity into a digital graphic guidelines document that is easy to update and maintain. A WordPress website was also created for Ami, with the primary purpose of serving as a tool for communicating information about grants and support.
